Job description

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Responsible for safety and well-being of slide participants.
  2. Responsible for positioning self for optimal supervision of slide ladder and launch areas; manage timing of participants slide ladder ascent, check minimum height requirement, and launch into the slide.
  3. Providing clear and consistent expectations for behavior; setting firm limits with positive phrasing and actions as necessary.
  4. Working in conjunction with aquatics staff to promote safety first.
  5. Following and enforcing all safety procedures, rules and regulations.
  6. Being able to positively correct any unsafe pool activity immediately, every time, without exception.
  7. Being knowledgeable and prepared to implement emergency procedures immediately.
  8. Reporting all incidents/accidents on the appropriate form and provide to supervisor within 24 hours of event.
  9. Never leaving slide unattended.
  10. Reporting any facility or equipment irregularities to supervisor, in writing.
  11. Responsible for maintaining cleanliness of deck and other cleaning duties as assigned.
  12. Attend all required training and scheduled meetings.
  13. Maintaining good attendance and following procedures for tardies and absences.
  14. Maintaining effective, positive relationships with members, participants, staff, and volunteers.
  15. Supporting Strong Community Campaign fundraising efforts.
  16. Other duties as assigned.
