Job description

Fund Accounting Supervisor โ€“ Hybrid (Dallas, TX or Raleigh, NC). Visa sponsorship will not be offered at this time.

Job Overview

As a Fund Accounting Supervisor at HedgeServ, you will oversee the daily fund accounting operations, ensuring timely and accurate NAV calculations, reconciliation of cash, positions and OTC trades, and compliance with internal controls. You will mentor and develop up to four Fund Accountants, support audit preparation, and liaise with internal teams and clients.

Responsibilities
  • Review cash, position and marketโ€‘value reconciliations and resolve break items promptly.
  • Verify fund pricing, corporate actions, and profitโ€‘andโ€‘loss reports for reasonableness.
  • Oversee income and expense accruals, including fee calculations and trading accruals.
  • Confirm fund trial balances and profit allocations to investors.
  • Ensure compliance with HedgeServ checklists, procedures and controls.
  • Supervise the capture of trades, processing of corporate actions and pricing.
  • Engage with internal service departments to resolve miscellaneous fund issues.
  • Escalate aging fund accounting issues to the Assistant Manager.
  • Respond to client queries efficiently.
  • Assist in the audit process, including preparation of fund financial statements.
  • Provide guidance, training and mentoring to Fund Accountants, setting goals and monitoring performance.
  • Maintain preโ€‘agreed internal and external deadlines consistently.
Qualifications
  • 3+ years' experience in hedge fund administration.
  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, Law or Business.
  • Strong analytical, problemโ€‘solving and attentionโ€‘toโ€‘detail skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Good initiative with judgment regarding escalation.
  • Proficient in systems, products and processes relevant to fund accounting.
  • Intent to pursue a professional accounting qualification (ACCA, CIMA, CPA, ACA) is an advantage but not required.
Preferred Attributes
  • Experience supervising a team of up to four fund accountants.
  • Mentoring and performanceโ€‘management experience in a fund accounting environment.
  • Knowledge of NAV calculations and related controls.
