Join Our Team as an Attorney at Axiom

We are seeking a Structured & Investment Fund Counsel to join our Financial Services team. In this role, you will provide expert legal advice and support to our clients in private and registered investment funds, ensuring compliance with U.S. and international fund regulations. This position offers a unique opportunity to collaborate with leading fund managers on fund formation, governance, and regulatory compliance, shaping investment strategies and documentation across diverse structures. This is an existing vacancy.

Responsibilities:
  • Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating fund formation documents, offering memoranda, investment management agreements, and partnership agreements.
  • Providing legal guidance on SEC registration, fund governance, and compliance with the Alternative Investment Fund Managers Directive (AIFMD) and UCITS frameworks.
  • Collaborating with internal teams, fund managers, and external counsel on fund structuring, compliance reviews, and audits.
  • Managing legal and regulatory issues for clients in private equity, hedge funds, and registered investment funds.
  • Staying ahead of industry trends, fund regulations, and global compliance developments to provide proactive counsel.
Qualifications:
  • 3+ years of experience in investment fund formation, structuring, and governance.
  • Strong knowledge of SEC regulations, AIFMD, UCITS, and partnership structures (LP/GP).
  • Proven track record of advising clients on fund formation, offering documentation, and regulatory compliance.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, technology, and problem-solving skills.
  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree or equivalent and licensed to practice law in an applicable jurisdiction.
Preferred Skills:
  • Experience with international fund structures and cross-border compliance.
  • Hands-on experience supporting fund audits, SEC filings, and regulatory reporting.
  • Familiarity with alternative investment products, private equity, and hedge fund operations.
Compensation:

The estimated total compensation for full-time Axiom attorney roles is $104,500-325,000 per year and for non-attorney roles is $71,250-309,750 per year.ย Compensation decisions are based on various factors, including, but not limited to, experience, skills, certifications, location, and business needs.ย  Employees may be eligible for additional benefits, including health, dental, and vision insurance; paid holidays and PTO; flexible work arrangements; and professional development opportunities and tools.
