The Heavy Equipment Mechanic role is responsible for diagnosing, servicing, and repairing a wide range of heavy machinery used in construction, excavation, transportation, and other industrial applications. This position requires a strong mechanical background, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to preventive maintenance and equipment safety.
Essential Functions of the Position:
• Be able to diagnose with the use of a computer
• Be able to access online service manuals and interpret them.
• Assures that maintenance schedules are followed.
• Assures all safety rules are followed.
• Communication with the Manager.
• Be able to rebuild small components.
Skills and Knowledge:
• Oral and written communication skills.
• English language skills.
• Interpersonal, customer service, and public relations skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks with frequent interruptions. Ability to diffuse and manage volatile and stressful situations.
• Ability to use Excel and Outlook.
• Ability to interpret schematics.
• Knowledge of Crane operation.
Requirements:
• Must have a valid Class A or B driver's license.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
• Ability to work with supervision, receiving instructions/feedback, coaching/counseling and/or action/discipline.
• Have tools appropriate for the job.
• Basic Knowledge of electronics and hydraulics.

while listening to potential hazards, alarms, radio, or telephone communication, and driving.

Environmental Factors:
Work is performed indoors and outdoors on the Company's property. The noise level is approximately 30-
90 decibels, caused by everything from an empty office to alarms and sirens.
