Job description

Summary: Proficiently operate a variety of heavy equipment utilized in the construction, maintenance, and repair of roads, highways, parking lots, and other large site jobs.


Essential Functions:

  • Drive and operate heavy equipment of various sizes and weights used in road, site, or highway construction and paving.
  • Operate assigned equipment following our daily procedures and protocols, or as instructed by supervisor:
    • Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance.
    • Pefer defects or needed repairs to supervisor.
    • Maintain equipment clean.
  • Assist the team and perform a variety of tasks involving strenuous manual labor in heavy/roads/highway/ residential/ commercial construction project
  • Assist with MOT (installation & maintenance of traffic control devices at work sites, by flagging to guide traffic through work areas, as required or assigned).
  • Follow OSHA safety procedures and company safety guidelines.

Job Requirements

  • Valid driver's license and a minimum of three years of driving experience with a clean driving history
  • Valid Driver's License
  • At least three years' experience in Road Construction (preferred).
  • Knowledge of heavy-equipment operating principles
  • Drive and operate equipment under varying working conditions.
  • Perform manual work requiring periods of extensive physical exertion and potential exposure to adverse weather conditions.
  • Ability to work from construction specifications or blueprints.
  • Knowledge of hazards and safety precautions common to heavy equipment operation, as well as methods, materials, and tools used in street and road construction work.
