Job description

Job Summary
Our client is seeking a veteran, certified Epic Principal Trainer for a critical Cerner-to-Epic migration within the Integrated Kidney Care division. The trainer will be responsible for bridging technical build specifications with remote clinical workflows and developing a robust training ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities
  • Build Integration: Attend and actively participate in the technical application build phase to capture workflows and system configurations.
  • Curriculum & MST Environment Build: Design, develop, and maintain comprehensive end-user documentation and training materials for remote care managers and chronic disease clinicians.
  • Virtual Delivery & Backfill: Deliver engaging virtual training sessions and provide instructional backup support as needed.
  • Classroom Delivery: Manage standard, ongoing virtual Epic training classes for clinical and nephrology practice workflows.
  • Content Upkeep: Maintain and modify existing curriculum paths, quick-reference guides, and tip sheets.

Qualifications
  • Active Epic Compass Rose or Epic Healthy Planet certification is strictly required.
  • Proven experience in building curriculum and managing MST environments through major legacy migrations (Cerner-to-Epic preferred).
  • Exceptional presentation skills engaging remote classrooms and home-based clinicians.
  • Active Epic Ambulatory certification.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience acting as a primary PT supporting live, operational clinical environments.
  • Strong familiarity with provider workflows and physician practice operations.

Skills

Additional Requirements
Remote position with up to 60% travel required for key project milestones and collaborative meetings.
