Job description

JOB TITLE: Registered Licensed Dietician

SCHEDULE: Monday-Friday, Full Time

LOCATION: On-Site/Serving New Hanover & Brunswick County

JOB POSTING:

Provides comprehensive assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of nutritional care for adolescents and adults. Participates as an integral member of the health care team in day-to-day activities, including patient care appointments, individual plan development, patient groups and education. Works under the supervision of the Primary Care Practice Manager. Performs other duties assigned.

EDUCATION & QUALIFICATIONS:
  1. Education: Bachelor Degree in Food and Nutrition or Dietetics from an accredited university with an approved internship or qualifying experience.
  2. Licensure/Certi?cations: Registered by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR). State of North Carolina license as a licensed dietitian/nutritionist (LDN)
  3. Experience: One-Year experience as a clinical dietitian
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
  1. Provides assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of nutritional care for clients referred by clinicians at clinical sites in New Hanover and Brunswick Counties as scheduled.
  2. Provides education and counseling to patients on nutrition, healthy eating and lifestyle changes.
  3. Monitors and documents patient progress and adjusts patients nutritional plans as needed.
  4. Collaborates with other medical and clinical staf to assess, organize, and facilitate patient groups surrounding healthy living, healthy eating and other identi?ed needs.
  5. Develop and distribute educational materials on nutrition and healthy eating that can be shared with staf and patients.
  6. Provide training and education to staf as appropriate on nutritional care. Participate in staf meetings as appropriate, whether regularly scheduled or especially called, to update on issues related to nutritional care.
  7. Be available for consultation during normal working hours.
  1. Efectively demonstrates the mission, vision, and values of the medical center on a daily basis.
  2. Performs other duties as assigned
