Position Overview

Blue Ridge Behavioral Health is actively seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) to join our team in a full-time remote capacity. As an LMHC, you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on the lives of individuals facing mental health challenges while working from the comfort of your own home or within our outpatient office in Port Saint Lucie, Florida.

Work Environment

This full-time role allows for a flexible schedule between 30 to 40 hours per week, giving you the balance needed to manage both work and personal commitments. Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop tailored treatment plans, including crisis prevention and intervention strategies.
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Utilize evidence-based screening tools to evaluate and report on client progress.
  • Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams to implement positive behavior support plans.
  • Engage in the licensing and accreditation processes to uphold our commitment to quality care.
  • Act as a liaison to state agencies, community partners, and relevant service systems to enhance access to additional resources for clients.
  • Foster effective communication channels to uphold contract standards and advance our mission in the broader community.
  • Network with local, state, and federal agencies to strengthen programmatic partnerships and secure potential funding sources.
  • Seek out professional development opportunities such as conferences and workshops to further enhance your expertise.
  • Embrace and promote the agency’s mission, values, and principles in every aspect of your work.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Clinic Director that contribute to the organization’s goals.
Patient Population / Client Focus

The LMHC will primarily work with diverse client populations, including individuals experiencing mental health disorders, those recovering from substance use issues, and clients with developmental disabilities. Our goal is to provide a supportive environment that fosters healing and growth, allowing clients to live their best lives.

Qualifications
  • A Master’s Degree in a behavioral health field is required.
  • A valid independent LMHC license issued by the state board is mandatory.
  • Proven ability to maintain clinical records and prepare comprehensive reports.
  • Exceptional collaborative skills to thrive within an interdisciplinary team setting.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively express ideas and engage with clients and peers.
  • Solid judgment and decision-making skills grounded in professional knowledge and ethical practice.
Preferred Experience
  • Previous work experience in outpatient or community mental health settings.

  • Experience working with crisis intervention strategies and behavioral health treatment plans.
Compensation and Benefits
