Job description

Practice Paradigm is seeking an experienced Dental & Medical Practice Management Software Trainer to join our implementation team as an Independent Contractor. This individual will play a critical role in on-boarding new clients, delivering engaging training sessions, and ensuring practices successfully transition to our cloud-based practice management platform.


The ideal candidate has real-world experience working in a dental or medical practice, healthcare organization, or healthcare software company and understands how technology supports clinical, administrative, and financial workflows. They are detail-oriented, organized, patient, and passionate about helping practices improve efficiency through software.

This is a contractor position with flexible scheduling and travel as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver virtual and on-site software training for physicians, dentists, surgeons, administrators, and office staff.
  • Become a subject matter expert on the Practice Paradigm platform.
  • Train all functional areas of the practice, including:
    • Patient registration
    • Scheduling
    • Clinical documentation
    • Insurance verification
    • Treatment planning
    • Medical and dental billing
    • Claims processing
    • Payment posting
    • Patient communications
    • Reporting and practice management workflows
  • Develop customized training plans based on each practice's workflows and operational needs.
  • Conduct workflow assessments and recommend best practices to maximize software utilization.
  • Lead live training sessions, webinars, and one-on-one coaching.
  • Create and maintain training documentation, guides, videos, and knowledge base articles.
  • Provide post-implementation support and refresher training.
  • Identify knowledge gaps and recommend additional training opportunities.
  • Work closely with Implementation, Product, Development, and Customer Success teams to communicate customer feedback and recommend product enhancements.
  • Ensure clients achieve a successful go-live experience and long-term adoption.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of experience working in a dental or medical practice, healthcare organization, or healthcare software company.
  • Experience using or supporting practice management software, EHR/EMR systems, or revenue cycle management solutions.
  • Strong understanding of healthcare office operations and workflows.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills.
  • Ability to explain technical concepts to both clinical and non-technical users.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Comfortable conducting remote training using Microsoft Teams, Zoom, or similar platforms.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
  • Strong problem-solving and customer service skills.
  • Ability to travel periodically for client implementations and training.


Preferred Qualifications

Experience with one or more of the following is highly desirable:

  • Dental practice management systems (WinOMS, OMSVision, Dentrix, Eaglesoft, Open Dental, DSN, or similar)
  • Medical practice management systems
  • Electronic Health Records (EHR/EMR)
  • Insurance eligibility and claims processing
  • Revenue cycle management
  • Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery, Plastic Surgery, ENT, Orthodontics, or other specialty practice workflows
  • Healthcare software implementation or consulting
