Kennelwood Pet Resorts is looking for Facility Manager to be a part of a growing industry leader pet care business. As a Facility Manager you must be an animal lover as you will have the opportunity to contribute positively to the lives of the animals entrusted to our care. You will be responsible for establishing and maintaining guest services, interacting with pets, overseeing and being responsible for the operation of the store ensuring maximum sales and safety standards, and human resource management.

Essential duties and responsibilities

  • Able to react to change productively and handle other tasks as assigned my Senior Operations Managers and other Senior Leaders
  • Ensure that each pet and guest receives outstanding service by providing a friendly environment which includes greeting and acknowledging every guest, maintain outstanding standards, solid product knowledge and all other components of guest service
  • Analyze and measure business trends; develop and implement plans to maximize sales and meet or exceed goals and objectives
  • Ensure appropriate merchandise stock levels and appropriate presentation and assortment in all departments.
  • Ensure compliance with all policies and procedures through regular store management and staff meetings, store walk-through
  • Continually evaluate and react to performance issues.
  • Train and develop staff in all aspects of the business; direct and monitor training and development for all store personnel

Requirements:

Qualifications:

  • Ability to stand and/or walk for extended periods of time
  • Ability to lift at least 40 lbs on a regular basis and up to 50 lbs on occasion
  • Ability to walk dogs of all sizes on leashes
  • Comfortable working around pet hair and dander
  • A passion for animals and previous professional animal handling experience preferred
  • Excellent customer service skills (friendly, courteous, and helpful)
  • Ability to lead people and get results through effective communications, coaching, training and development Self-motivated and takes initiative
  • Committed to safety and assuring a safe environment for staff and guests.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as customer receipts, special work instructions and software manuals
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays
