About the role:

As a company founded by service-disabled Veterans, we at DFC are driven by a duty to serve our clients, our employees, and our community. We are committed to helping organizations achieve their goals by cultivating a team of talented professionals that deliver exceptional service, creative insights, and high-quality results.

DFC seeks a Jr. Healthcare Operations Analyst to support an operations support contract in the federal healthcare consulting industry. The team is seeking an inquisitive individual with excellent critical thinking skills and high attention to detail who has a desire to learn complex federal healthcare and policy as well as technical operations, enjoys working in a fast-paced and regularly changing environment, and can effectively manage competing priorities. Strong candidates for this position enjoy looking for connections and seeing the big picture in complex processes and systems, and excel at translating technical details for a general audience.

What the role requires:
  • Supporting the implementation of complex federal health policy and functional design improvements as part of a project team (note: this role does not involve policy analysis or writing).
  • Drafting reports, briefings, and messaging that clearly communicate ideas and findings to stakeholders.
  • Translating technical concepts, business processes, and policy guidance into plain-language materials for both internal and external audiences.
  • Collaborating with clients to understand goals, constraints, and opportunities for support.
  • Creating and managing project artifacts such as agendas, timelines, and detailed meeting notes that capture decisions and action items.
  • Contributing to continuous process improvement by identifying inefficiencies and recommending enhancements.
What you need to be successful:
  • 1-2 years of professional experience (can include a professional internship).
  • Strong analytical, writing, and presentation development skills to communicate information and recommendations in oral presentations or written documents.
  • Comfort navigating between technical details and big-picture storytelling in both written and verbal communications and ability to translate complex operational processes into clear, actionable insights for varied audiences.
  • Ability to exercise strong attention to detail, problem-solving, and organization skills; able to manage multiple priorities simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to participate in client meetings and capture accurate meeting notes.
  • Ability to produce consistent, insightful, high-quality work against tight deadlines.
  • Self-directed; ability to work on tasks requiring analysis, writing, and planning activities with limited guidance or oversight.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as a member of a team, contributing positively to team culture and outcomes.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Office, Word, and Excel.
Other Important Information:
  • Bachelor's degree is required.
  • Ability to obtain a US government security clearance, if needed, is required.
  • Applicants must have the legal right to work in the US for any employer; sponsorship is not available for this position.
  • Preference will be given to qualified Veteran candidates.
