What You’ll Do

The Memory Care Administrator leads the overall operation of the community. The Memory Care Administrator is responsible for assuring compliance with government regulations and Compass Senior Living policies and procedures. Elder’s family and team members' satisfaction is key in maintaining extraordinary standards of service, quality, and maximum occupancy while meeting and/or exceeding financial goals within the established budgetary guidelines.

As a Memory Care Administrator, you can expect a range of responsibilities and tasks. Here are some general expectations:

  • You will hire, train, supervise, motivate, and evaluate caregiver staff to ensure residents' highest quality of care.
  • You will work directly with the Wellness Team and Administrator to plan and assign work duties and assignments for the Care Partners.
  • You will monitor the day-to-day work provided by the Care Partners, supervising, mentoring, suggesting, and educating the staff on proper work standards.
  • You will coordinate the housekeeping duties with the housekeeping department.
  • You will perform the duties of a medication aide or Care Partner when needed.
  • You will complete initial paperwork on all new residents and routinely audits elder charts to ensure paperwork is complete and filed correctly.
  • You will monitor and implement the service plan process, including the interim service plan. This includes updating service plans on a routine and timely basis and scheduling and facilitating service plan meetings quarterly with elders, team members, and families.

  • You will have a license in good standing if required by the State Licensing Authority or be willing to secure licensure within six months of employment.

  • You will bring computer literacy and proficiency in learning specified online programs.

  • You will bring your ability to demonstrate excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • You will be able to deal with difficult, sensitive, and confidential issues.
  • You will bring good verbal communication and the ability to read, write, and speak English with residents and coworkers who only speak English.
  • You will meet all health requirements as specified by state and federal regulations.
  • You will be able to perform duties and responsibilities (Essential Job Functions) with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • You will pass a criminal background check.
