Vice President, Information Technology & Innovation – Grand Junction | Monday–Friday, 8am-5pm Schedule


 Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm
 Location: Grand Junction, Colorado
 Pay Range: $126,443 - $139,880 (Exempt/Salaried)
 

JOB SUMMARY: 
The Vice President of Information Technology & Innovation provides executive-level leadership, strategic direction, and operational oversight for HopeWest’s enterprise technology environment, cybersecurity program, infrastructure, systems integration, and information services operations. The position serves as a proactive organizational leader and trusted strategic partner to executive leadership in aligning technology initiatives with HopeWest’s mission, operational priorities, patient care delivery, compliance requirements, and long-term organizational growth.

This position is responsible for developing and executing enterprise technology strategies that enhance operational efficiency, strengthen cybersecurity posture, improve system reliability, support data-driven decision-making, and position HopeWest for future innovation and scalability. The Vice President fosters collaborative relationships across departments while promoting a culture of service excellence, accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement within the Information Technology function.

This position also provides executive leadership for artificial intelligence (AI), data analytics, and digital innovation strategy, ensuring responsible, compliant, and value-driven adoption of emerging technologies. The Vice President is accountable for advancing data-driven decision-making, improving clinical and operational workflows, and enabling scalable, integrated technology solutions that support coordinated patient care and organizational effectiveness.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Healthcare Informatics, Business Administration, or related field required. Master’s degree in Information Technology, Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or related field preferred. 

Experience: 

  • Minimum of 10+ years of progressively responsible Information Technology experience required.
  • Minimum of 7+ years of leadership or management experience overseeing enterprise technology operations, infrastructure, or systems required.
  • Executive-level leadership experience strongly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of healthcare workflows, EHR systems, and care coordination processes preferred.
  • Experience with cybersecurity governance, strategic planning, vendor management, infrastructure management, and enterprise systems oversight required.
  • Experience leading organizational technology initiatives, operational change management, and cross-functional projects preferred.
  • Experience with enterprise data analytics, reporting, or business intelligence platforms preferred.

Licenses and Certifications: 

  • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) preferred
