Job description

Volt is immediately hiring for Part-Time Customer Service Representatives in Cary NC.
  • Great work-life balance with only two scheduled workdays per week
  • Consistent part-time schedule (Monday and Tuesday 8:00am - 4:30pm)

As a Customer Service Representative, you will:
  • Serve as the primary contact for inbound patient and customer calls regarding prescription status, billing inquiries, and general account information.
  • Make outbound calls to schedule medication deliveries and collect payment information.
  • Accurately update patient profiles and records to support timely medication distribution.
  • Respond to customer inquiries and escalate complex issues to the appropriate healthcare or support teams.
  • Document detailed and accurate progress notes within internal systems.
  • Provide updates regarding prescription refills, shipment status, insurance verification, and invoice requests.
  • Assist patients during refill scheduling and transfer clinical questions to pharmacists, nurses, or other healthcare professionals as needed.
  • Identify and report adverse events (AEs) and product complaints (PCs) according to company procedures.
  • Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction while meeting productivity and quality standards.
  • Perform additional administrative and customer service duties as assigned.

This is a part-time opportunity.
Work Schedule: Mondays and Tuesdays only from 8:00am - 4:30pm
Training Schedule: 9:00am - 5:30pm for 8-12 weeks ON-SITE; then the possibility of hybrid work
The ideal candidate will have:
  • Minimum 1 year of recent high-volume call center experience
  • Minimum 1 year of customer service experience
  • Strong phone communication and active listening skills
  • Experience handling inbound and outbound calls
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Strong data entry and documentation skills
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
  • High attention to detail and accuracy

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Healthcare, pharmacy, medical office, or patient support experience
  • Administrative/clerical experience
  • Experience with filing, scanning, photocopying, and record maintenance
  • Familiarity with insurance verification and healthcare customer service processes

Pay Rate: $20.00 - $20.40 per hour
