Job description

PYA is seeking a dynamic and relationship-driven Healthcare Business Development and Relationship Manager to support the continued growth of our nationally recognized Healthcare Consulting Group. This individual will play a key role in developing and strengthening relationships with healthcare organizations, industry leaders, referral sources, channel partners, and strategic partners while helping identify and advance new business opportunities across PYA’s national healthcare consulting platform.

The ideal candidate brings 5+ years of business development and relationship management experience and is a proactive communicator, skilled connector, and strategic thinker who thrives in a fast-paced professional services environment. This individual will work closely with consulting principals, service line leaders, and marketing leadership to help drive awareness, engagement, and revenue growth within the healthcare industry and while expanding PYA's national presence.


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with healthcare executives, referral sources, industry associations, channel partners, and strategic partners
  • Identify, qualify, and help advance new business opportunities within hospitals, health systems, physician groups, academic medical centers, healthcare technology companies, and other healthcare organizations
  • Support client relationship management efforts to strengthen existing client engagement and identify cross-selling opportunities across PYA service lines
  • Collaborate with channel partners and referral sources (including but not limited to attorneys, private equity investors, and investment bankers) to identify mutually beneficial opportunities and strengthen strategic alliances
  • Work closely with healthcare consulting leaders to execute strategic business development initiatives and targeted outreach campaigns
  • Collaborate closely with marketing and consulting leadership to evaluate pipeline activity, market feedback, and business development trends to help inform strategic adjustments to campaigns, messaging, targeting, and growth initiatives
  • Assist with development and coordination of meetings, presentations, proposals, conferences, sponsorships, networking events, and industry engagement opportunities
  • Maintain accurate activity tracking, pipeline management, and reporting within Salesforce CRM
  • Coordinate with marketing and consulting teams on thought leadership promotion through webinars, digital campaigns, and other high-visibility industry efforts
  • Monitor healthcare market trends, competitive activity, merger and acquisition activity, and emerging opportunities relevant to PYA’s service offerings
  • Represent PYA professionally at industry conferences, association meetings, client events, and partner engagements
  • Help foster long-term relationships that reinforce PYA’s reputation as a trusted advisor in healthcare consulting


QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Healthcare Administration, Communications, or related field preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years of successful experience in business development, account management, client relationship, or related role
  • Healthcare industry experience preferred, but not required
  • Experience working with referral networks, strategic alliances, channel partnerships, or professional services relationships preferred
  • Professional services, consulting, healthcare, or B2B relationship management experience strongly preferred
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships and establish credibility with senior-level executives and external partners
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Experience using Salesforce or a similar CRM platform is a plus
  • Self-starter with strong collaboration and problem-solving abilities
  • Willingness to travel periodically for client meetings, conferences, and events
