Job description

As a Design Architect, you will independently lead design efforts for small to medium-sized projects and contribute to complex, large-scale projects under senior direction. You will collaborate across disciplines to develop typology studies, programming documents, site analyses, and design concepts that bring client visions to life. You will play a key role in fostering Progressive Companies' dynamic and collaborative design culture.
Deliver Results
  • Lead design charrettes and utilize hand sketching, modeling, and digital tools to explore and communicate design concepts.
  • Develop high-quality design materials across all phases, including typology studies, programming documents, site analyses, sketches, models, renderings, and presentations.
  • Refine and advance design direction to align with project goals, sustainability targets, and code compliance.
  • Collaborate with project teams, clients, consultants, and contractors to ensure technical compliance, integration, and successful execution.
  • Monitor design execution from concept through construction, ensuring design intent is maintained.
  • Implement quality control measures to ensure design documentation accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Mentor junior staff, foster cross-disciplinary collaboration, and actively contribute to firmwide design critiques, discussions, and outreach initiatives.

Qualifications
  • Degree in Architecture or equivalent education or experience.
  • 5 years of architectural design experience in healthcare.
  • Proficient in design software such as Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, and BSD Spec Link.
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating design excellence, technical proficiency, and project leadership experience.
