About the Role
We are seeking a general worker to join our team at our Van Nuys, CA bakery. As an general work for production, you will be accountable for supporting the shaping, slicing, alignment, and flow of product through the proofer and oven systems to ensure consistent quality, safety, and efficiency throughout the baking process.
Shift & Schedule
  • Shift: 1st
  • Hours: 6AM - 2:30PM
  • Weekend availability: Required

Compensation
  • Hourly Rate: $19.75 - $21.50

Core Accountabilities (What You'll Be Doing)
  • Support final forming, slicing, and product alignment to ensure consistent quality and process flow
  • Monitor product movement on proofer plates and oven discharge conveyors to maintain specifications
  • Maintain clean, organized, food-safe oven and proofer work areas
  • Assist Oven Operators in maintaining control of the Proof Box and Oven systems
  • Ensure cutting tools are safe, sharp, and properly disposed of in accordance with GMP requirements
  • Complete accurate data entry and documentation to support quality and production records
  • Identify and report contamination risks, equipment concerns, or safety issues immediately

Minimum Qualifications (What You Bring to the Table)
  • High School Diploma or GED preferred
  • Ability to work at a consistent processing pace and follow verbal instructions
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 10 lbs. as needed
  • Ability to work in enclosed, high-temperature or varying environmental conditions
  • Strong teamwork, communication, and attention to quality and safety
  • Must be reliable, safety-conscious, and able to work harmoniously with peers

Preferred Qualifications (Extra Ingredients for Success)
  • Prior experience in bakery or food-manufacturing environments
  • Experience working with proofer or oven systems
  • Understanding of GMPs, food-safety principles, and Lockout/Tagout awareness
  • Ability to identify quality deviations and take corrective action
