Health Safety Representatives are professionals responsible for ensuring that workplaces comply with health and safety regulations. They identify potential hazards, conduct safety audits, and implement policies designed to protect employees from accidents and occupational illnesses. Their role may also include training staff, investigating incidents, and coordinating with regulatory agencies to maintain a safe working environment. By fostering a culture of safety, Health Safety Representatives help reduce workplace risks and ensure legal compliance.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a health safety representative?

To thrive as a Health Safety Representative, you need a solid understanding of occupational health and safety regulations, risk assessment, and compliance, typically supported by a relevant degree or certification such as NEBOSH or OSHA.
