Could you be our next Research Analyst I with the Lankenau Institute of Medical Research?
Why work as a Research Analyst I with Main Line Health?

  • Make an Impact!  The Department of Epidemiology and Biostatistics at Lankenau Institute for Medical Research (LIMR) collaborates and supports investigators throughout the Main Line Health system, particularly residents, fellows, and other LIMR researchers. The Research Data Analyst I will report directly to the department director. Their main responsibilities will be to meet with investigators, consult on research and dataset design, analyze, display, and interpret data, and help write methods and results sections for abstracts and manuscripts. This will be a hybrid position.

Essential Accountabilities:

       Supports researchers in the development of study design, dataset design, statistical methodology and statistical analytic plans.

       Applies appropriate statistical concepts, methodologies, and tests to datasets

  • Displays aggregated data in tables, graphs, and figures
  • Proficient in statistical software such as R, Stata, or Python
  • Experience with SQL to extract, collect, or monitor data to create custom datasets for use in research and health system improvement is a plus but not required
  • Has experience in observational causal inference methods and complex regression analyses
  • Has knowledge or experience in predictive modeling using machine learning or an interest in learning
  • Assists in providing statistical input for grants, reports, or decisions, and helps answer routine questions from investigators
  • Assists in the development of research databases when required
  • Interprets and communicates analysis results to investigators
  • Ability to explain complex statistical analyses to non-statisticians
  • Writes and supports the data analysis plan sections of IRB protocols, and methods and results sections for abstracts and manuscripts
  • Preferred but not required: Experience using SQL for building datasets within the Epic EHR system, particularly using Epic Cosmos. Epic Cosmos data science certifications or Epic Caboodle certifications are a plus. If no current certification, the employee will be trained to use SQL to build datasets within Epic Cosmos.

         8am-4:30p and variable, Monday-Friday

         This a hybrid role- 3 days in office/ 2 days at home.

Experience:

       Masters level: One year of experience in settings conducting research or performing healthcare analytics, could include classwork or internships

       Bachelors level: Three years of experience in settings conducting research or performing healthcare analytics.

Education: 

Master's degree in biostatistics, statistics, epidemiology, health analytics, data science, or similar. Bachelor's degree with equivalent experience will be considered.

Licensures/Certifications: 

Epic Cosmos data science certification within six months of hire.
