The Division of Health Benefits in partnership with the North Carolina Health Information Exchange Authority is seeking an experienced Advanced Planning Document (APD) Writer.

ย 

The Division of Health Benefits, NC Medicaid, Advanced Planning Office (APO), in partnership with the North Carolina Health Information Exchange Authority (NC HIEA), is seeking an experienced Advanced Planning Document (APD) Writer with experience in developing APDs and related materials to support health information technology (IT) and health information exchange initiatives. This includes maintaining documentation related to State and/or Federal reporting, policies/procedures, and/or IT system requirements.

The selected person will:

ยทDevelop and maintain APDs and Technology-related documentation for federal financial proposals (similar to grants) and planning documents within required timelines for HIE and Medicaid IT Projects.

ยทDevelop clear, concise, and compliant documentation, including supporting financial justifications, policies, procedures, and system requirements. Work closely with agency management, project teams, and subject matter experts to gain an understanding of project and related requirements to develop appropriate document content.

ยทFacilitate and coordinate document review meetings, revisions, and approvals for submission to state and federal sponsors.

ยทOrganize material and complete writing assignments according to agency standards regarding order, clarity, conciseness, style, and terminology.

ยทPerform technical and detailed writing, editing, and proofreading of required supporting documentation.

ยทUtilize a combination of computer and critical thinking skills.

ยทExercise professional confidentiality and discretion.
