Overview

Emerald Crest of Minnetonka, a Cassia memory care community, has a rare opportunity for an RN Director of Health Services (DHS) to join our team in Minnetonka, MN. We offer a supportive team, opportunities to grow your career, and an after-hours RN team that triages calls evenings, weekends, nights and holidays to support work-life balance. A $10,000 bonus is available.

As the Director of Health Services, you will lead the clinical team in providing excellent care for the 40 residents receiving memory care services. You will be responsible for organizing, directing, implementing and evaluating the clinical program to deliver exceptional resident care and services in line with regulations and clinical best practices. Our ideal candidate will be an RN who possesses a passion for supportive team development, delivering a high standard of care, and leaving a lasting positive impact in the lives of all we serve. The Director of Health Services reports directly to the Director of Housing and supervises the clinical team members (Nurses & Caregivers).

Position Type: Full-Time, benefits eligible position

Wage Range: $90,000 - $115,000 depending on experience

Bonus: $10,000

RN Director of Health Services Responsibilities
  • Complete initial assessment of potential Memory Care residents.
  • Create and implement individual Care Plans for each resident.
  • Ensure residents’ rights are protected and advocates on their behalf.
  • Communicate with healthcare providers, county personnel and family regarding residents’ current needs and health status.
  • Take fiscal responsibility for setting and staying within budget for nursing and care-related areas.
  • Monitor and maintain resident charts and progress notes.
  • Oversee ordering, setup and administration of all medications.
  • Fulfill staffing requirements for nursing department including hiring, evaluation and scheduling.
  • Provide health and medication training to all nursing personnel as well as continued education and document teaching and training assuring compliance with current regulations.
  • Oversee and conduct supervision of nursing staff including employee guidance, coaching and discipline to maintain high standard of care and a positive work environment.
RN Director of Health Services Qualifications
  • Registered Nurse with current licensure with the MN State Board of Nursing.
  • Must have previous experience working in an Assisted Living and/or Memory Care setting.
  • Must be familiar with Assisted Living rules and regulations.
  • Experience in supervising staff is preferred.
  • Working knowledge of electronic health records.
  • Strong leadership skills.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with residents, family members and staff while promoting a positive atmosphere in the nursing department.
