Join rockITdata as a Data Analyst supporting one of the nation's largest federal healthcare modernization initiatives. In this role, you'll transform operational, financial, technical, and program data into meaningful insights that support executive decision-making, project performance, and continuous improvement. Working closely with Program Management, Business Analysts, Data Architects, and Government stakeholders, you'll identify trends, develop reports, validate data quality, and provide analytical support that helps ensure successful delivery of mission-critical healthcare technology solutions.
This position is ideal for an analytical professional who enjoys solving complex business problems, uncovering meaningful insights from data, and helping improve healthcare services for our nation's Veterans through informed decision-making.Key Responsibilities
  • Collect, validate, analyze, and interpret operational, financial, technical, and project data supporting enterprise healthcare modernization initiatives.
  • Develop recurring reports, scorecards, and analytical products that measure program performance and operational effectiveness.
  • Identify trends, patterns, anomalies, and opportunities for improvement through data analysis and reporting.
  • Collaborate with Program Managers, Business Analysts, and Government stakeholders to define reporting requirements and analytical needs.
  • Validate data accuracy, completeness, and consistency across multiple enterprise data sources.
  • Support executive briefings by preparing reports, charts, dashboards, and analytical summaries.
  • Perform ad hoc analyses supporting customer requests, strategic planning, and operational decision-making.
  • Document data definitions, reporting methodologies, business rules, and analytical processes.
  • Partner with the Data / Reporting Architect and BI / Dashboard Developer to improve reporting capabilities and data accessibility.
  • Recommend process improvements that strengthen reporting accuracy, operational efficiency, and data-driven decision-making.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Business Analytics, Information Systems, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Three (3) years of experience performing data analysis, business analysis, operational reporting, or performance measurement within enterprise IT environments.
  • Strong experience using Microsoft Excel, SQL, Power BI, Tableau, or similar reporting and analytics tools.
  • Experience collecting, validating, analyzing, and presenting data to technical and executive audiences.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Experience supporting enterprise reporting, dashboard development, or business intelligence initiatives is preferred.
  • Experience supporting VA, VHA, DHA, or other Federal healthcare organizations, health IT, telehealth, or Federal program management is preferred.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Level 3 Public Trust clearance.
