Job Description
Potential Opportunity: Health Technician

Contingent Upon Contract Award

Our organization is pursuing a contract to provide staffing services to the VA Southern Nevada Healthcare System (VASNHS). This position is a potential opening and is contingent upon contract award and successful completion of all required onboarding, credentialing, and background screening requirements.

Location
    Primary Location: VA Southern Nevada Healthcare System, 6900 N. Pecos Road, North Las Vegas, NV 89086
  • May be required to support additional VASNHS facilities or clinics as assigned.
Position Summary

The Health Technician provides patient care support, patient transportation, and administrative assistance within the Radiology/Imaging Department. Working closely with physicians, nurses, and technologists, this role helps ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality care for Veterans.

Key Responsibilities
  • Transport patients safely throughout the medical center using wheelchairs, stretchers, and other transport equipment.
  • Assist with patient positioning and preparation for imaging procedures.
  • Support clinical staff during diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
  • Monitor patient safety and promptly report changes in condition.
  • Respond to emergencies and perform CPR when required.
  • Maintain patient records, process documentation, and support imaging department workflows.
  • Answer phones, assist patients and visitors, and provide general administrative support.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
  • Experience in a healthcare, hospital, radiology, or clinical setting preferred.
  • Strong customer service, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work days, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Ability to pass required VA background and credentialing requirements.
