Medical Assistant – Lifestream Health Center (Bowie, MD)Lifestream Health Center is a busy, patient-centered pain management practice in Bowie. We are currently seeking a dedicated, long-term Medical Assistant to join our clinical team. We are looking for a reliable professional who wants to grow with our practice and provide consistent, high-quality care to our patients.Job Responsibilities:Escort patients to exam rooms and prepare for appointments (chart prep).Accurately measure and record vital signs (weight, blood pressure, temperature, etc.).Assist with patient intake, triage, and documentation in the EMR.Triage and process messages from patients to physicians.Perform urine drug screenings.Ensure patient compliance with UDS and PDMP monitoring.Assist providers in the procedure room (with C-arm machine, ultrasound, etc.).Manage prescription refills, DME orders, and pre-op instructions.Monitor clinical inboxes, voicemails, and patient cases throughout the day.Stock exam rooms with medical supplies and forms.Maintain a clean and well-stocked exam room environment.Maintain inventory, exam rooms, and sterilization processes.What We're Looking For:High school diploma required; college coursework preferred.Medical assistant certification preferred, not required.
