Job description

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Greets guests, transports guest luggage to and from vehicles; escorts to the Front Desk and to guest rooms; assists guests at check out to transport luggage to the Front Desk and/or to guest vehicles.
  • Drives the Inn Van to transport guests and luggage and to run errands.
  • Drives guest vehicles to parking lots and retrieves guest vehicles to assist guest coming and going from the Inn.
  • Ensures that the front parking area remains clear by moving guest vehicles to valet parking area.
  • Responds radio contact from the Front Desk for pick-up and delivery of guests and employees in need of transport to the parking lots.
  • Maintains constant contact with the Front Desk and keeps Front Desk always informed of whereabouts.
  • Assists with pick-up and clearing of dirty dishes and room service trays as requested/required.
  • Assists with Housekeeping duties at night when housekeeping is not available.
  • Assists with minor maintenance repairs when maintenance is not available.
  • Maintains accurate inventory of all guest keys for prompt retrieval when guest car is requested.
  • Maintains the Inn Van in clean, presentable, and operable condition. Will clean the van as necessary.
  • Ensures that Bell related Front Desk areas are maintained and presentable including but not limited to: Vacancy sign, Highway dining sandwich boards, tools and equipment used to maintain the van and the Bell Staff closet.
  • Makes room deliveries of flowers, balloons, champagne, fruit, cheese, and in-room gifts.
  • Enters room delivery purchases into the point of sale system.
  • Maintain clean & organized lobby area, front landscaping and walkways as needed. Removing litter, sweeping, and cleanign the glass on the lobby table tops and all duties on the task checklist.
  • Knowledge of the Inn and available amenities.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid and current driver's license. Minimum age requirement of 25 years old to be carried and covered by business insurance.
  • NO moving vehicle violations or infractions in the last 18 months.
  • Develop and maintain collaborative and respectful working relationships with guests, team members and others encountered in the course of work.
  • Maintain a positive image and professional/friendly interactions with guests and team members while always provide a high level of customer service.
  • Work in a manner consistent with the Inn's Mission while consistently provide quality service.
  • Work and act as a team player in all interactions with other Inn employees.
  • Develop and maintain collaborative and respectful working relationships with guests, team members and others.
  • Maintain clean, pressed uniform and maintain good hygiene and groomed hair.
  • Maintain regular and dependable attendance. Must have professional appearance and excellent customer service skills.
  • Must maintain a tactful, courteous, and cooperative attitude in dealing with managers, guests, and peers.
  • Excellent written and verbal skills
  • Prior guest service delivery in a bell position, preferable in a luxury resort environment.
