Job description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Sport Performance Coach located in Detroit, MI area. The Sport Performance Coach will be responsible for overseeing the assessment, design, and implementation of age-appropriate strength and conditioning programs, as well as providing guidance on nutrition and recovery strategies, for an elite hockey academy.
Additional responsibilities will be developing an outreach program aimed at attracting local athletes, from all sports, backgrounds, and levels, for the same purpose.
Qualifications
  • Certification in Strength and Conditioning (CSCS) or relevant field preferred
  • Demonstrated experience in designing and implementing sport-specific training programs
  • Strong knowledge of exercise physiology, biomechanics, and nutrition
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience working with athletes of various ages and skill levels
  • Ability to analyze and adapt training programs based on individual needs
  • Passion for helping athletes achieve their performance goals
