Provide timely, accurate and friendly service while preparing the highest quality service for our guests. Each Server's primary objective is to provide our guests with the highest standard of hospitality.

  • Promote, work, and act in a manner consistent with the mission of Nectar Hilton Head. oAccept guest payment, process credit card charges, and make changes if necessary.
  • Check identification of guests to verify age requirements for purchase of alcohol. oClean and sterilize glasses, utensils, and Server Stations.
  • Record drink and food orders accurately and immediately after having received them into the Point of Sales System. oAttempt to limit problems and liability related to guests issues and needs. Supplies such as ice, glassware, napkins, or straws need to be replenished.
  • Present menus, make recommendations, and answer questions regarding beverages. oClean and reset tables, work areas, shelves, and storage.
  • Recognize and learn the names of regular guests oAttend all scheduled employee meetings/trainings and offers suggestions for improvement.
  • Coordinate with and assist fellow employees to meet guests’ needs and support the operation of the restaurant. oFill-in for fellow employees where needed to ensure guest service standards and efficient operations.
  • Provide guests with information about local areas, including giving directions.
  • Qualifications
  • Must be 18 years of age or older oPrevious experience preferred
  • Knowledge of service and food and beverage oExcellent basic mathematical skills
  • Able to handle money and operate a point-of-sale system oAble to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 5 hours)
  • Able to safely lift and easily maneuver trays of food and containers weighing up to 50 pounds
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States
