Job Description:

Head Nurse (RN)
Location: Brooklyn, NY
Working Days: 4 Days (
Thurs - Regular Day Off)

Hours: 8am-6pm

Organization: New York Cancer and Blood Specialists (NYCBS)
In this role, you will:
Manage all aspects of nursing responsibilities during each shift. Including and not limited to, assigning patient assignments, medication orders, training of new hires and management of a safe environment for staff and patients alike with focus on providing efficient, timely and knowledgeable care while ensuring patient satisfaction in every interaction. The Head Nurse is responsible for making sure those values are reflected in their staff at all times.
We require:

  • Valid New York State RN License
  • Must have a minimum of two years in a managerial role.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
  • Excellent assessment, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency with an EMR (preferred)
  • Knowledge of standard precautions and the ability to utilize appropriate PPE when administering cytotoxic agents and handling bloodborne pathogens and bodily fluids
  • Reliable transportation to travel to NYCBS locations for patient care needs

Salary: Between $56 and $71 per hour based on experience
