Redstone Search are working with a global energy trading house who looking to hire an experienced power trader to their team in Stamford CT.


Key Responsibilities / Tasks


  • Develop and execute proprietary trading strategies across the PJM and Northeast power markets.
  • Trade short-term power products, including day-ahead, balance-of-week, weekly, monthly, and short-dated futures.
  • Analyse market fundamentals, weather, transmission constraints, outages, and supply-demand dynamics to identify trading opportunities.
  • Manage risk within established limits while optimising P&L performance.
  • Work closely with quantitative, analytics and origination teams to enhance market insights and trading strategies.
  • Monitor market developments and react quickly to changing market conditions.
  • Role reports to Head of US Power Trading


Key Qualifications / Experience


  • 2–8 years’ experience trading US power markets.
  • Demonstrated experience trading PJM and/or Northeast ISOs.
  • Proven track record trading short-term futures and prompt products, including day-ahead, weekly and monthly tenors.
  • Strong understanding of US power market fundamentals and price drivers.
  • Excellent analytical and decision-making skills with a disciplined approach to risk management.
  • Located in Stamford CT or happy to relocate
