Job description

Collier.Simon is an independent, full-service creative agency in the Los Angeles/Hollywood area. We work with our client partners to develop creative solutions that truly move the needle. Clients range from Fortune 500-type household names to up-and-comers across a variety of industries and verticals. We're in the midst of a tech-powered transformation โ€” using AI to supercharge creativity, not replace it โ€” and we're looking for people who are already exploring what's possible.

Weโ€™re looking for a full-time Video Editor & Motion Designer with strong traditional craft who is actively experimenting with AI and emerging tools in their workflow. This is a hands-on creative role โ€” youโ€™ll be editing and animating across a wide range of project types, with the majority of work being 16:9 for OTT and broadcast โ€” and we want someone who is already thinking about how new tools and technology can make the work better and faster. Youโ€™ll be a core member of the creative team, partnering daily with our Creative Director, Head of Production, art directors, and copywriters.

You Might Be a Fit If Youโ€ฆ
  • Are equally comfortable editing long-form (:90) and short-form (:10) video and crafting polished motion graphics
  • Have a strong eye for design, typography, and layout โ€” not just cutting
  • Can develop videos that communicate clearly whether sound is on or off โ€” critical for OTT, PMAX, and other placements where audio may not play
  • Are already integrating AI tools into your video and motion workflow and can speak to whatโ€™s working
  • Thrive in a collaborative team environment and can also execute independently with minimal oversight
  • Stay current on trends in video, motion, and AI-powered creative tools โ€” and are actively testing new ones
  • Work well under pressure and know how to prioritize in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Are excited to grow with an agency and invest in long-term creative relationships with clients and teammates
What Youโ€™ll Do
  • Edit video content across formats โ€” with the majority of work being 16:9 for OTT and broadcast, plus sizzle reels, digital advertising assets, PMAX and other sound-on/sound-off placements, and occasional social and creator-style edits โ€” from inception through final delivery
  • Design and produce motion graphics for broadcast, OTT, digital campaigns, and other channels, with an ability to craft work that communicates clearly whether audio is on or off
  • Ensure all deliverables are on-brand, strategically sound, and technically specโ€™d correctly
  • Collaborate closely with the Creative Director, Head of Production, art directors, and copywriters throughout the creative process
  • Present work-in-progress cuts and final assets to internal teams and clients as needed
  • Maintain organized project files and adhere to delivery standards
  • Bring AI tools and workflow thinking to the table โ€” sharing what youโ€™re experimenting with and helping identify opportunities to work smarter across video and motion production
  • Contribute to building out and evolving our internal video and motion practices as the team and toolset grow
  • This is a fully remote role that requires impeccable communication and the ability to thrive in collaboration
Requirements
  • 3+ years of video editing and motion design experience in an agency, studio, or similar creative environment
  • Expertise in Adobe Premiere and After Effects โ€” these are non-negotiable
  • Experience collaborating in Figma
  • Solid design fundamentals: typography, layout, composition, and motion principles
  • Experience producing assets across a range of formats, including OTT/broadcast spots, digital advertising (including PMAX and other sound-off environments), long-form content, and social video
  • Demonstrated ability to craft video that reads clearly both sound-on and sound-off (captions, kinetic type, visual storytelling, etc.)
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining quality and meeting deadlines
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail throughout the production process
  • Actively experimenting with AI-powered tools for video and motion โ€” whether AI-assisted editing, generative visuals, automated workflows, or other emerging tools โ€” and able to speak to your experience with them
  • Available to work standard PST business hours
