Job description

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Head of Video based in Netherlands.

As Head of Video, you will own the strategy, production, and performance of long-form and short-form video across a growing digital entertainment brand. You will define the content formats, audiences, channels, and creative direction that shape the organization's video presence. The role combines strategic ownership with hands-on leadership of a production operation spanning YouTube, short-form social, partnerships, ambassadors, and marketing campaigns. You will build and develop a talented production team while establishing efficient workflows and consistently high creative standards. A major focus will be connecting long-form and short-form content through a systematic clip pipeline and using performance data to guide investment. You will work closely with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to ensure video contributes directly to audience growth and commercial objectives. This is a high-impact opportunity for an experienced video leader who thrives in a fast-moving, performance-driven environment.

Accountabilities:
  • Own the overall video content strategy, defining repeatable formats, series, target audiences, and the role of each channel across long-form and short-form video.
  • Lead the video production operation end to end, from format selection and production planning through creative direction, editing, packaging, and delivery.
  • Build, manage, and develop the production team, including editors and specialist content roles, while establishing clear briefing standards and consistent creative expectations.
  • Own the long-form-to-short-form content pipeline and oversee short-form output across platforms such as Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts.
  • Ensure long-form content is systematically transformed into platform-native short-form assets and use short-form performance insights to determine which formats deserve greater investment.
  • Oversee partner and ambassador video collaborations, ensuring content is aligned with audience expectations, brand objectives, and channel requirements.
  • Lead the production of video content supporting marketing campaigns, product launches, tournament series, and other commercial initiatives.
  • Collaborate with creative, ambassador, CRM, social, and other cross-functional teams to coordinate campaigns and content initiatives.
  • Establish and own the video performance measurement framework across long-form and short-form channels.
  • Run regular performance reviews, identifying successful formats, creative patterns, and opportunities for improvement, then translate findings into content, format, and packaging decisions.
  • Report to senior management on content performance, audience growth, key insights, and the contribution of video to broader commercial objectives.
  • Maintain consistent quality, production cadence, and operational efficiency across the entire video organization.
Requirements:
  • Proven track record of growing audiences through both long-form and short-form video, with deep expertise in at least one format and strong working knowledge of the other.
  • Demonstrated experience building, managing, and developing video production teams, including editors and specialist creative roles.
  • Strong understanding of video packaging and storytelling, including titles, thumbnails, hooks, narrative structure, pacing, and payoff placement.
  • Ability to brief and direct editors and creative specialists toward consistently high production standards.
  • Strong knowledge of video performance metrics, including click-through rate, view duration, and retention curves for long-form content, as well as hook retention, watch-through, and shares for short-form.
  • Experience managing gaming, gambling-adjacent, or other regulated entertainment content on YouTube and social platforms, with a strong understanding of platform policies and content guidelines.
  • Good working knowledge of poker, or the ability to develop a strong understanding quickly, with sound judgment around moments that create drama, tension, humor, or audience engagement.
  • Experience managing a multi-channel content operation, including production planning, editorial calendars, publishing workflows, and post-publication performance analysis.
  • Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and decision-making skills, with the ability to balance creative ambition with operational discipline.
  • Highly analytical and performance-oriented approach, with the ability to use data to inform creative strategy without losing sight of audience and storytelling quality.
  • Comfortable working autonomously in a fully remote, fast-moving environment with multiple stakeholders and competing priorities.
Benefits:
  • Competitive salary with performance-based bonuses.
  • Fully remote working environment.
  • Flexible working hours.
  • Opportunity to lead the video strategy and production operation across multiple major content formats and channels.
  • Opportunity to build and develop a high-performing video production team.
  • Exposure to innovative technology within the blockchain and online gaming industry.
  • Collaborative and inclusive international working environment.
  • Professional development opportunities and potential for career growth in a rapidly evolving organization.
  • Significant autonomy and ownership over creative strategy, production, and content performance.
