Job description

Boca Raton, United States

The Opportunity

We are looking for a true builder to transform our commercial motion from founder-led to a predictable, scalable B2B commercial engine. This is a high-leverage executive track position and you will sit on the leadership team as a close strategic partner to the CEO, influencing product strategy, pricing, and market direction. The role is designed to scale into a broader executive seat (such as CRO or President) as the company expands.

What Youโ€™ll Do

The first six months are intentionally hands-on. You will carry a personal quota and directly close complex, high-touch deals while architecting our commercial blueprint from scratch.

  1. Own the Revenue: Take over strategic in-process relationships and independently drive complex B2B payments infrastructure deals to the finish line.
  2. Build the Infrastructure: Design and implement our standard lead-to-close methodology, CRM workflows, forecasting disciplines, and sales KPIs.
  3. Scale the Team: Once the pipeline and playbooks support expansion, recruit, hire, and onboard your first high-performance Account Executives and Account Managers.
  4. Cross-Functional Feedback: Act as the critical bridge between the market and internal teams, giving Product, Engineering, and Marketing actionable feedback based on real-world customer interactions.
RequirementsWhat We Are Looking For
  1. Strict Payments Domain Expertise: You must have deep experience within merchant acquiring, payment gateways, PayFac structures, the sponsor bank ecosystem, or embedded finance. You understand processing economics, residual models, interchange, and payment underwriting.
  2. The Early-Stage Startup Scrappiness: You have previously helped scale a payments or fintech startup through rapid early growth. You thrive in fast-moving, collaborative environments and enjoy building systems rather than inheriting them.
  3. High Commercial Acumen: You easily navigate complex deal dynamics involving legal negotiations, technical API integrations, and sponsor bank compliance frameworks.
  4. Unshakeable Industry Reputation: You build genuine relationships with customers, partners, processors, and compliance teams.
  5. A dependency on large support, enablement, or operations teams to get things done.
  6. An excessively corporate, bureaucratic mindset that waits for direction or protects ego over outcomes.
Are You Ready to Build?

If you are a fiercely ambitious, payments-fluent sales executive who wants the autonomy, accountability, and financial upside of scaling a powerhouse commercial engine from the ground floor, letโ€™s talk.
