Job description

Location: Remote
Position Type: Full-Time/Permanent/Remote
Reports to: CEO

Who We Are
Brandwoven is a rapidly growing marketplace management firm dedicated to the success of our clients on the Amazon, Walmart.com and other marketplace platforms. We partner with consumer products brands to help implement an ideal Amazon strategy based on their unique business needs. Success for us is about more than just driving sales, it’s also about telling our client’s brand story on the world’s largest online marketplaces.

How We Work
We work hard, we have fun, and we put our clients first, always. Independent thinking, initiative and a positive attitude are an absolute must in our highly collaborative environment.  Those who are successful at Brandwoven are self-starters who want to make themselves, and our team, better every day.

The Role
Brandwoven is seeking a Head of Growth to own our growth-focused corporate marketing and business development end-to-end. This role is ultimately accountable for delivering a consistent, qualified pipeline of leads — aligned to our ideal customer profile — for hand-off to our account-based sales team. You will set the strategy and direct execution across our inbound demand generation programs (content, website, SEO, advertising, social, email, etc) — getting hands-on where a lean team calls for it — while also building our BD programs like targeted outreach, internal & external BD reps, partnerships, referral, and events.

This is a senior leadership role for a builder. Reporting to the CEO, you will lead and develop a small marketing and BD team, setting direction and defining how our growth engine should work. Because the team is lean, you are willing to roll up your sleeves when it matters. You are a builder at heart who is comfortable with ambiguity, operates independently every day, and translates growth goals into programs that produce measurable results.

Beyond the work for Brandwoven, the Head of Growth will also stand up a go-to-market strategy for our emerging resale business from the ground up — brand, website, messaging, and a client-acquisition strategy.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Corporate Marketing

  • Own content strategy across the funnel — thought leadership, case studies, and demand-generation assets that build authority and attract our ideal customers.
  • Expand on our organic search (SEO) and generative engine optimization (GEO) strategy as a proven inbound pipeline channel for Brandwoven.
  • Manage the Brandwoven website as a growth engine, including positioning, messaging, conversion optimization, and ongoing maintenance with our development partners.
  • Lead inbound marketing, including paid search, paid social, and other paid media, optimizing spend against pipeline and cost per qualified lead.
  • Own HubSpot strategy and outcomes end-to-end — campaigns, email, automation, workflows, lead scoring, reporting, and data hygiene — defining how the platform should work and directing the build-out (resourced through the team or contractors as needed), while supporting the sales team in their use of the CRM.
  • Establish the marketing metrics and reporting that give leadership clear visibility into pipeline health and return on investment.

Business Development & Programs

  • Design and run partnerships with marketplace providers, technology providers and complimentatry service providers that create repeatable, qualified deal flow.
  • Design and run referral programs with select individuals that create repeatable, qualified deal flow.
  • Design & implement a targeted outreach program for cold prospecting.
  • Develop & management of a future inside Business Development rep team as well as ourside, independent reps.
  • Plan and execute trade show & conference participation and speaking engagements as intentional pipeline-generation channels.
  • Create and host events that build relationships with target brands and partners.
  • Own pre-event targeting, on-site relationship development, and post-event follow-up to convert engagement into qualified pipeline.
  • Qualify inbound and program-sourced opportunities against our ideal customer profile before hand-off to our Account-based sales team.

Resale Business Go-To-Market (New Build)

  • Our resale business operates as it’s own brand and needs it's own go-to-market engine. This role will need to be fluent in both our service and resale business, as they serve overlapping brand partners. The marketing strategy must be architected so the two businesses can operate simultaneously with minimal cannibalization, while putting the needs of our clients first.
  • Build the resale brand, website, and messaging as a standalone identity, distinct voice, positioning, built to stand on it’s own in the market.
  • Develop an independent, demand-generation and partner-acquisition strategy, while maintaining awareness of Brandwoven, ensuring that the two businesses complement rather than compete with one another.
  • Define positioning, channels, and the early demand-generation playbook, then iterate based on results.

Team Leadership

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a small marketing and content team (1-2 direct reports), supplemented by contractors or additional hires as needed — setting direction and standards while staying willing to roll up your sleeves when a lean team calls for it.
  • Set priorities, define work, and hold the team accountable to growth outcomes.
  • Partner closely with the CEO to align positioning, service offerings, and messaging.
  • Lead use and functionality of our Marketing Automation platform & CRM (Hubspot) across marketing & biz dev to include broader team adoption.

Successful Candidates Can:

  • Deliver a consistent, predictable pipeline of qualified leads that match our ideal customer profile. Quality of leads matters more than quantity of leads.
  • Build marketing and business-development programs the business can rely on and scale.
  • Bring a HubSpot-driven marketing engine with clear reporting and accountability.
  • Operate as a trusted partner to the CEO and a force multiplier for the sales team.
  • Balance strategy with execution — owning the plan and orchestrating the work, and getting hands-on when a lean team calls for it — moving quickly to measurable results.

Experience:

  • 7-12 years corporate marketing or business development experience in the services or agency space including 2-5 years leading marketing and/or biz dev strategy.
  • Proven track record of driving revenue growth for an agency or other services business.
  • Significant professional experience — enough to run independently every day with minimal oversight.
  • Experience building and managing a small marketing and/or business-development team.
  • Strong command of content, website, inbound, and paid media — able to direct the work and step in personally when needed.
  • Amazon knowledge and experience preferred.
  • Experience building partnership, referral, and event-driven pipeline programs.
  • HubSpot experience strongly preferred.
  • Strategic mindset paired with a roll-up-your-sleeves execution style, and comfort creating structure where none exists.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Competitive base salary.
  • Uncapped incentives based on performance.
  • Health and dental covered for employee, up to 100% with some plans.
  • Competitive PTO including 10 holidays
  • 401K with company matching
  • Fully remote role with flexibility and autonomy.
