What You’ll Do

  • Own budgeting, rolling forecasts, long-range planning, and the three-statement financial model that connects SaaS and payments revenue to cash flow, profitability, and runway.
  • Lead the financial performance of the payments business, including gross payment volume, net take rate, processor costs, interchange, and contribution margin, while identifying opportunities to expand margins as volume scales.
  • Lead the monthly close and financial reporting process, including revenue recognition across software and payments, while strengthening billing, reconciliation, payroll, and expense management processes.
  • Build bottoms-up revenue forecasts tied to pipeline, hiring, and sales productivity, and partner with go-to-market leadership on pricing, unit economics, and commission design.
  • Prepare board and investor materials, present financial performance and key operating metrics, and support fundraising through financial modeling, diligence, and data room preparation.
  • Partner closely with the CEO on capital allocation, cash management, strategic planning, and long-term financial strategy.
  • Build and lead the finance organization over time, beginning with key hires across FP&A, accounting, and business operations as the company scales.


Necessary Skills Needed

  • 6+ years of experience, with foundational training in investment banking, private equity, corporate development, consulting, or Big Four, followed by finance leadership experience at a high-growth, venture-backed software company. Vertical SaaS experience strongly preferred.
  • Deep expertise in SaaS finance, including subscription metrics, revenue recognition, ARR, customer economics, and financial modeling that connects operational performance to financial outcomes.
  • Experience with payments, fintech, or embedded finance, including net take rate, processor economics, interchange, and the operational workflows that drive billing, reconciliation, and gross margin.
  • Proven success building FP&A capabilities and financial infrastructure in a scaling business, including board reporting, fundraising, budgeting, forecasting, and investor support.
  • Systems oriented with experience improving financial reporting, KPI visibility, data quality, and business processes while partnering effectively with outsourced accounting firms and cross-functional teams.
  • Strong executive presence and communication skills with the ability to influence decisions across the leadership team, present to the board and investors, and translate complex financial concepts into actionable business insights.
  • Hands-on and entrepreneurial. Comfortable building the model yourself, solving problems with limited resources, and scaling the finance organization as the company grows.
