YOUR MISSION
As Head of Compensation, you are the senior leader responsible for continuously evolving the global compensation strategy and clear and scalable programs, processes, and team execution. This role is designed to advance an established compensation direction across a complex, multinational organization by identifying future roadmap priorities, and ensuring compensation programs remain market- competitive, equitable, compliant, and effectively delivered. You will evolve the company's compensation strategy to align with business direction, workforce needs, regulatory change, and emerging market practices. You will enhance programs by improving process efficiency and incorporating AI into day-to-day work in responsible, practical ways. You will lead and develop a global team of compensation leaders and professionals, serve as a trusted advisor to HR and business leaders, and drive continuous improvement across processes, systems, communications, and employee experience.
Priorities can often change in a fast-paced environment like ours, so this role includes, but is not limited to, the following responsibilities:
  • Lead the planning, execution, and evolution of global compensation for the company, helping translate the established compensation strategy into multi-year roadmap priorities, program improvements, and clear delivery plans.
  • Serve as a senior compensation advisor to global HR and business leadership on complex compensation matters, including executive compensation, offer strategy, retention, organizational design, job architecture
  • Partner closely with XBOX HR and Total Rewards on strategy, governance, and delivery of gaming compensation
  • Lead, coach, and develop the global Compensation team, translating strategic priorities into clear workplans, operating standards, and consistent service delivery across regions and businesses
  • Partner with ABK and XBOX Finance and HR leadership on annual operating plan budgeting, salary, bonus and equity targets and budgets
  • Lead through leaders the compensation cycles, including annual merit, promotions, bonus, and equity programs, ensuring budget readiness, process discipline, system optimization, and alignment with the compensation strategy
  • Drive continuous improvement of compensation systems and processes, with a focus on Workday automation, reporting tools, and practical and secure AI-enabled ways of working that improve scalability, efficiency, and user experience
  • Use business, workforce, market, and regulatory insights to support adjustments to compensation philosophy, program design, pay practices, and investment priorities over time
  • Drive consistency and scalability across global compensation practices while allowing for regional regulatory, market, and business-specific requirements

  • 15+ years of relevant experience, depending on education and experience and 7+ years of management experience
  • Proven track record of leading global compensation teams, developing program strategy and leading execution, and technical projects in a multinational, complex organization
  • Experience building, leading, and developing high-performing compensation teams, including senior compensation professionals and regional or matrixed partners
  • Experience in tech, entertainment, or gaming preferred

Knowledge & Skills
  • Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Data Science, or other quantitative fields
  • Highly organized, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality results in dynamic, multinational, complex environments
  • Proactive, self-motivated, and results-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple competing priorities
  • Exceptional communication, stakeholder management, and influencing skills, with experience advising senior leaders
  • Strong people leadership capability, including coaching, prioritization, delegation, performance management, and the ability to align a global team around clear priorities, operating standards, and consistent service delivery
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills, with strong attention to detail and the ability to translate complex data for senior leaders

In the U.S., the standard base pay range for this role is $168,240.00 - $311,260.00 Annual. These values reflect the expected base pay range of new hires across all U.S. locations. Ultimately, your specific range and offer will be based on several factors, including relevant experience, performance, and work location. Your Talent Professional can share this role's range details for your local geography during the hiring process. In addition to a competitive base pay, employees in this role may be eligible for incentive compensation. Incentive compensation is not guaranteed.
