Job description

At NAVEX, we're transforming the world-making it safer, more ethical, and ensuring every voice is heard. That's real impact.
Our high-performance culture is driven by our values. We move with speed, passion and purpose - as one team. We are bold in our ideas, accountable in our actions, and committed to doing the right things right.
NAVEX is looking for a Head of UX to define the future of our customer experience. This is a leadership role for someone who sees design as a strategic business advantage and who can elevate the maturity of design, customer experience, and product development across the company.
You'll define and champion a bold UX vision across our platform, creating cohesive, differentiated experiences that delight customers and drive measurable business results. You'll establish a prototype-first culture where interactive experiences become the shared language across Product, Engineering and Design, accelerating alignment, reducing delivery risk and improving product quality.
You'll define NAVEX's AI-enabled UX strategy, leveraging AI to accelerate customer research, insight synthesis, prototyping, documentation and design delivery while ensuring human-centered design principles remain at the core of every experience. You'll build world-class design capabilities, transform how teams collaborate, and turn customer insights into product strategy, innovation and business impact.
Reporting to the SVP of Product Management, you'll partner closely with Product, Engineering, Marketing and Customer Success to shape product strategy, influence investment decisions, strengthen cross-functional operating models, and ensure every customer experience reflects the quality, consistency and innovation our customers expect.
You'll thrive in this role surrounded by an engaged, collaborative team deeply committed to your success. Join us and help shape what's next!
What you'll get:
  • Meaningful Purpose. Your work helps organizations operate with integrity and protect their people-at a scale few companies can match.
  • High-Performance Environment. We move with urgency, set ambitious goals, and expect excellence. You'll be trusted with real ownership and supported to do the best work of your career.
  • Candid, Supportive Culture. We communicate openly, challenge ideas-not people-and value teammates who embrace bold thinking and continuous improvement.
  • Growth That Matters. You can count on authentic feedback, strong accountability, and leaders invested in your success so you can achieve real growth.
  • Rewards for Results. We provide clear, competitive compensation designed to recognize measurable outcomes and real impact.

What you'll do:
  • Define the global enterprise UX vision, creating cohesive, differentiated customer experiences that elevate design maturity and strengthen the NAVEX platform
  • Lead UX as a strategic business function, influencing product strategy, investment priorities and executive decisions through customer insight and design thinking
  • Define and execute NAVEX's AI-enabled UX strategy, accelerating research, prototyping, documentation and delivery while championing human-centered design
  • Champion a prototype-first product development model, using interactive prototypes to align Product and Engineering, reduce risk and accelerate delivery
  • Be the voice of the customer, transforming research and customer insights into product strategy, prioritization and measurable business outcomes
  • Lead Design Operations, building scalable design systems, research practices, governance and accessibility standards that enable quality and speed
  • Set the standard for design excellence, establishing principles, governance and quality frameworks that deliver intuitive, accessible and exceptional experiences
  • Build and inspire a world-class design organization, developing exceptional leaders and fostering a culture of accountability, experimentation and continuous improvement
  • Strengthen how products are built, partnering with Product and Engineering to create operating models that improve collaboration, execution and delivery
  • Measure customer and business impact, using data, customer feedback and product outcomes to continuously improve adoption, engagement, retention and experience quality

What you'll bring:
  • A Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Human Computer Interaction, Digital Media Design, Graphic Design or related field
  • 10+ years leading Product Design or UX within high-growth SaaS organizations, shaping platform-scale customer experiences, modern design organizations and enterprise design maturity
  • 5+ years leading leaders, building high-performing teams and developing exceptional design talent through periods of growth and transformation
  • A portfolio demonstrating strategic UX leadership, platform thinking and measurable business impact
  • Proven ability to define and champion an enterprise UX vision that aligns executive leadership, Product and Engineering around a shared customer experience strategy while influencing product strategy and investment decisions
  • Demonstrated success leading organizational transformation, elevating design maturity and establishing UX as a strategic business capability
  • Deep customer obsession with a track record of translating customer insights into product strategy, prioritization and measurable business outcomes
  • Experience building customer research and feedback programs that inform product strategy and investment decisions
  • Demonstrated success leveraging AI to accelerate research, prototyping, design quality and team productivity while advancing human-centered design
  • Expertise building and scaling Design Operations, including design systems, research operations, governance and modern design practices
  • Experience partnering with Product and Engineering leaders to modernize product development through AI, prototype-first practices and scalable cross-functional operating models
  • Strong product and business acumen with the ability to balance customer needs, technical constraints and commercial outcomes
  • Exceptional executive communication and storytelling skills with a proven ability to influence strategy through customer insight, design thinking and data
  • Experience defining UX success metrics that improve adoption, engagement, satisfaction, retention and business performance
  • Deep expertise in accessibility, inclusive design and modern UX best practices
  • Culture Agility. Comfort working in a fast-paced, candid environment that values innovation, healthy debate, and follow-through

Our side of the deal:
  • We'll be clear, we'll move fast, and we'll invest in your success. You deserve to be supported, challenged, and rewarded for the impact you make-and we commit to doing that every step of the way.
  • The starting pay for this role is $240,000+ per annum with 20% MBO. NAVEX is an equal opportunity employer committed to including individuals of all backgrounds, including those with disabilities and veteran status.
