As a head girls golf coach, you oversee a girls' golf team, usually at a high school or youth facility. At a college level, you oversee a women’s golf team, and your title adjusts accordingly. Your duties revolve around working to teach the game of golf to team members and students. You help the athletes train for competitions and develop their golfing skills through practice and instruction. As a head coach, your responsibilities also include scheduling games and organizing venues and travel. If you coach at the college level, you also must recruit new players and organize tryouts for prospective athletes.
