Job Summary:Alpine Teams Head Coach isfor theoversight and generalsuccess of theU System and Development Teams based at Alpine(the"Alpine Teams" at Alpine location base).This list is designed toassistin delimiting jobduties andis not exhaustive.Other duties may be assigned or arise in the course of work.These duties are NOT listed in order of priority.The Head Coach contributes to the overall success of Team Palisades Tahoeand Team Palisades Tahoe Alpineconsistentwith theTeamMission and Vision as measured by the quality of the athlete and employee experience, retention, athlete success, and parent satisfaction. This position works directly withthe Alpine Teams Administrator, Palisades U System Sr Manager, Palisades Tahoe Director of Teams, and has direct supervisory oversight of Alpine U System staff U12-U18, and the Alpine Development Head Coach.

Applicants must be21years of age.

Hourly:

The base hourly pay range below represents the low and high end of the Palisades Tahoe Resort, LLC's hourly pay range for this position. Actual pay will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to experience, education, training, location, merit system, quantity or quality of production, responsibilities, and regular and/or necessary travel. The range listed is just one component of Palisades Tahoe Resort, LLC's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include short-term and long-term incentives and many region-specific benefits.

Base hourly pay range: $25.71 - $35.99 per hour

Essential Job Responsibilities/Duties/Tasks include the following; other duties may be assigned:

  • Manage U12 through U18 alpine race programming at Alpine includingcoaching staff.Coordinate,designand oversee all activities involved in the training, and competition of team athletes.Manage/Supervise Development Head Coach.

  • Maintain communication withcoaches,administrators, parentsand athletes, and leadership through effective and approved channels.

  • Leads Safety efforts with compelling messaging and action, modeling andestablishinghigh expectationsfor safe behaviors with the intent toeliminateinjuries for Staff and Self.

  • Coordination of Hill Space with U System Sr Manager, Alpine Mountain Manager, Grooming,Patroland other key players at Palisades Tahoe

  • Ensure all staff are appropriately scheduled, and schedulemaintainedthroughoutseasonon a monthly,weeklyor dailybasisas necessary.

  • Ensure time and attendance expectations are adhered to by all staff.

  • Coordination of travel with Alpine Administrator and broader administrative team.

  • Createand contribute towritten team goals andfacilitateindividual goalsettingfor all teamathletes and coaches. Facilitate goal setting and performance assessments for coaches.

  • Be fully aware of and support the mission,visionand goals of all aspects of our program, Palisades Tahoe resort, and Alterra.

  • Organize andensureappropriate trainingplans are publishedforentireyear.

  • Guide and promote athletic participation in training plan;participatein planned training

  • Foster an atmosphere of respect and courtesy between coaches, parents, athletes, TPT and Alterra employees, and the public; ensure that wemaintaina strong emphasis on the customer service aspect of our program.

  • Maintaining communication with administrators, parents, and students through meetings, reports, and other vehicles on a regular basis

  • Modelingappropriateand ethical behavior consistent with program values and code of conduct.

  • Participate in the recruitment,hiringandtraining ofcoaches.

  • Participating inprofessionaldevelopment program andmaintainoutsidecertificationsas necessary.

  • Accountable for and adherence to financial goals including labor expense/Time & Attendance, equipment & supplies, travelcostand related athlete billing, etc.

  • Establish andfacilitateweekly and monthlystaff meetingsdepending upon seasonality.

  • Assistin the management of, and hold coaches (and self) accountable to: Time & Attendance Standards, Team and company mission/vision/values and policies, Performance management/performance reviews, Team expectations for athletic advancement, Use of company approved tools, Participation in all required meetings andtrainings

Job Qualifications

Required:

  • High School diploma
  • US Ski & Snowboard Alpine Level100
  • Supervisory experience (+3 years preferred)
  • Sufficient skills with Microsoft O365 and fluent in technological tools supporting sports/team communication
  • Fluent in reading,writingand communicating in English

Preferred:

  • US Ski & Snowboard Alpine Level 300 or equivalent
  • PSIA Certification

While performing the duties of this job, the employeeis regularly required towalk, talk, see, hear, and ski/snowboard. Must be capable of standing and/or balancing forlong periodsof time, up to 90% or more of a normal work shift. Must be capable offrequentlyor constantly balancing, reaching, squatting, bending, kneeling, stooping, handling, twisting. Must be capable of occasionally carrying, lifting,pushingor pulling up to 75bs.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depthperceptionsand the ability to adjust focus.

Working Conditions:

Indoor/Outdoor:While performing the duties of this job, the employee willfrequentlybe exposed to outside weather conditions. The employee mayencounterextreme winter cold and blizzard conditions.
