Position Summary:

A Housekeeping Team Leader performs daily housekeeping tasks of the care community in-order to maintain a safe and sanitary environment while providing oversight to the housekeeping and laundry personnel.

Position Responsibilities of a Team Leader:

* Clean, wash, sanitize and dust resident rooms and care community offices, bathrooms, hallways and common areas
* Maintains the schedule for the Housekeeping and Laundry departments
* Checks quality of work that is performed within both departments
* Follows all safety policies and procedures during daily tasks
* Assists with personnel training in the department
* Attend required in-service education
* Keeps utility, storage areas and equipment neat and clean
* Follows appropriate Infection Control and Universal Precaution practices when performing department procedures
* Communicates effectively with residents, staff and visitors
* Cross training as laundry worker for special assignments

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Ability to read, write and have good visual acuity. A high school diploma or equivalent preferred.
