Reports To: Lead Teacher / Administration
Job Overview
Ivy Academy is seeking a dependable and student-focused Education Assistant to support classroom instruction and help create a positive learning environment. The Education Assistant works alongside teachers to provide academic support, supervise students, and assist with classroom operations. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with students and contributing to a collaborative school community.
Key Responsibilities
  • Support teachers with daily instructional activities and classroom management
  • Provide small-group or one-on-one academic support to students
  • Assist students in staying organized, engaged, and on task
  • Help prepare classroom materials and learning resources
  • Supervise students during transitions, lunch, and school activities
  • Maintain a positive, safe, and structured classroom environment
  • Collaborate with teachers and school staff to support student success

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Experience working with children or in an educational setting preferred
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to maintain professionalism and confidentiality
  • Dependable, organized, and student-centered

Work Schedule
Follows the HCDE academic calendar; 7:30-3:00 daily
