Job Summary and Qualifications

MRI Technologist
Weekend availability is necessary for consideration

Our imaging teams are a committed, caring group of professionals.  We are currently seeking a Florida-licensed MRI Technologist on a full-time basis who will perform procedures in a compassionate and respectful manner. If you are dedicated to caring for others, this could be your next career opportunity. 

Please note our facility is a Level II Trauma Center which requires availability for rotating call assignments.

As an MRI Technologist, responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Demonstrate a strong and thorough knowledge of all MRI (and associated) equipment
  • Obtain high-quality MR images assuring only optimal films are submitted for interpretation
  • Facilitate the procedure by selecting proper technical factors/techniques to accommodate all patients and select, prepare and administer the appropriate contrast material if ordered
  • Prepare, transfer and position patients as needed ensuring modesty, safely utilizing auxiliary equipment and/or devices indicated
  • Document all pertinent clinical information prior to exam, obtain informed consent, and complete all required fields within MEDITECH accurately and on time
  • Maintain proactive and effective communication with patient and other caregiver colleagues to include the radiologist
  • Monitor the operation of the equipment, maintain cleanliness of table/equipment to prevent cross-contamination of contagious diseases and keep room stocked with necessary supplies
  • Accept on-call and call-back responsibilities as needed to provide optimum patient care

Qualifications

· Vocational/Technical school

· Valid ARRT registry

· 1-3 years of experience

· Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

· Organizational, verbal, interpersonal, customer relation, mathematical, analytical, grammar/spelling, computer, and clerical skills are necessary

· Ability to read/comprehend written instructions as well as follow verbal instructions
