Presbyterian Hospital is hiring New Grad nurses for our hospitals in Albuquerque and Rio Rancho, New Mexico.

Type of Opportunity: Full time FTE: 0.90 Job Exempt: No Work Shift: Varied Days and Hours (United States of America)

Responsibilities:

Presbyterian provides a year-long Transition to Practice Nurse Residency Program for newly graduated nurses who are interested in starting their professional career. The program has shown to improve engagement and retention by providing a strong nursing foundation for quality nursing practice. Residents will obtain continuing education credits upon completion of the program. 

Students approaching graduation and newly licensed nurses, graduating from an accredited college, within 12 months are welcome to apply. Qualified candidates must have a current New Mexico RN license and an associate’s degree in nursing or higher (BSN preferred). Residents will be hired as full-time nursing staff “in training” with full benefits. Hours will be variable and at various sites. 

Program participation is a requirement at Presbyterian Hospital, Presbyterian Kaseman Hospital, Presbyterian Rust Medical Center, PRESNow locations and Presbyterian Santa Fe Medical Center in the following units:


• Critical Care
• Emergency Department
• Progressive Care
• Medical/Surgical Care
• Family Birthing and Mother/Baby Care
• Pediatric Care Unit, Pediatric Intensive Care Unit

• Inpatient Pediatric Hematology/Oncology
• Neonatal Intensive Care Unit
• Inpatient Hematology/Oncology
• Operating Room
