Full time (M-F, day shift), no nights, no on-call, no weekends, no holidays

What you will do in this role:

• Help establish/implement goals, objectives, policies, procedures and systems for the assigned clinical areas.
• Participate in the development and implementation of clinical plans.
• Select, train/orient, and supervise departmental personnel. Responsible for work assignment and daily operations.
• Evaluate performance and recommend merit increases, promotions, and disciplinary actions.
• Resolve problems in clinical areas and ensures compliance with regulations and standards.
• Help fiscal management and other administrative staff to develop/implement cost effective policies and procedures for all clinical areas, as well as billing, insurance, fee schedules, credit/collections, purchasing, and space planning.
• Monitor and control clinical expenditures to remain within budget.
• Serve as liaison between clinic and external agencies.
• Work with medical staff to ensure quality patient care and services are provided.
• Participate in professional development activities to keep current with health care trends and practices.
• Maintain strictest confidentiality.
• Perform other related work as required.
• Practice and adhere to the “Code of Conduct” philosophy and “Mission and Value Statement”.

EDUCATION:

• Graduate from an accredited Medical Assistant Program or a degree or diploma from an accredited school of practical or vocation nursing is required.

EXPERIENCE:

• Minimum of two year of experience in a medical office, acute care or clinical outpatient setting is required. A minimum of one year previous supervisory experience in a medical office, acute care or outpatient setting is required.

CERTIFICATION/LICENSE:  Current and Active Medical Assistant certification (Acceptable certifications are RMA, CCMA, CMA, NCMA, NRCMA certification or ABR-OE credentials) or active LPN or LVN license is required. CPR Certification required.
