Job Summary and Qualifications

Theย CBO Assistant Directorย supports the oversight and daily management of business office operations across multiple centers. This role ensures effective financial performance, accurate billing processes, workflow efficiency, and strong team leadership within the Central Business Office.

What will you do in this role:

  • Oversee daily operations of the Business Office, including registration, medical records, scheduling, A/R, A/P, insurance verification, and collections.
  • Monitor workflow and adjust staffing to meet business needs.
  • Assist with operational and financial reporting, analysis, and performance improvement.
  • Ensure accuracy of registration, insurance verification, and cash posting.
  • Maintain A/R days and bad debt levels within organizational goals.
  • Support training, development, and performance evaluations of Business Office staff.
  • Communicate effectively with physicians, administrators, and regional leadership.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational policies, HIPAA, and HCA Code of Conduct.
  • Attend required regional/divisional meetings.

What Qualifications you will need:

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in business or healthcare administration preferred
  • 3+ years of healthcare business office experience (Ambulatory preferred)
  • 2+ years supervisory experience.
  • Strong understanding of healthcare A/R, A/P, and patient accounting principles
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problemโ€‘solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Knowledge of medical terminology; ability to multitask in a highโ€‘volume environment.
