Job description

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Linux & Windows Systems Administrator to support the Research, Development, Test, and Evaluation (RDT&E) network and secure enclaves for NIWC PAC in San Diego, California. This role involves securing and maintaining both Windows and Linux systems, supporting infrastructure design, and ensuring compliance with DoD cybersecurity standards. Key Responsibilities: - Administer and maintain Windows, Linux, and VMware systems
- Perform system hardening in accordance with DISA STIGs, CTOs, and other DoD guidance
- Conduct and interpret ACAS scans to identify and remediate vulnerabilities
- Configure and maintain Host-Based Security System (HBSS)
- Provide technical input for infrastructure design and engineering reviews
- Support secure enclaves and ensure compliance with cybersecurity requirements
- Collaborate with team members and work independently as needed Required Qualifications: - Active Secret clearance
- Minimum 3+ years of experience with Windows systems administration
- IAT Level II certification (one of the following):
- Security+ CE
- GSEC
- SCNP
- SSCP Experience with:
- Linux system administration
- VMware environments
- Applying DISA STIGs and security patches
- Writing SOPs and security policies relevant to ESS/HBSS Preferred Qualifications: - Knowledge of ITIL processes and ITIL certification
- Experience with the IAVM process
- Familiarity with HBSS configuration and management Compensation: - Salary: $100,000 - $115,000 (based on experience and education)
