Job description

Job Details:

The expectation of this position is to lead and direct hourly team members to provide quality products that meet company standards while achieving financial and business objectives.

Essential Functions

  • Provide quality products to customers globally.

  • Achieve production objectives.

  • Achieve daily hatch objectives.

  • Achieve safety objectives.

  • Develop and retain qualified team members.

  • Ensure TSA and NPIP compliance related to Cobb business activities.

Requirements

Education

Requires broad knowledge in a general professional field normally acquired through four (4) years of college, resulting in a bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience.

Experience

Two (2) or more years of poultry management-related experience.

Computer Skills

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.

  • Must be able to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals using available computer programs.

Travel

Four (4) or more domestic trips per year.

Supervisory Responsibilities

Directly supervises a team of approximately 20 or more hourly team members.

Biosecurity Requirements

The job site is a biosecurity environment that requires showering before entering the facility and may require multiple showers throughout the workday. Appropriate clothing and footwear are provided by the Company.

  • No jewelry may be worn on the job site except for approved medical identification jewelry.

  • Must be willing to sign an agreement to avoid contact with any avian species, including chickens, ducks, and other birds.

  • The Company Animal Welfare Policy must be followed at all times.

  • Must be willing to follow all Biosecurity Standards guidelines.

Physical Requirements

  • Must use safe lifting techniques.

  • While performing the duties of this job, the team member is regularly required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; balance; stoop; and talk or hear.

  • The team member must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

Team members are expected to follow all required safety procedures and wear the required personal protective equipment.
