Job description

As a Systems Integration Engineer III, you'll lead verification and validation (V&V) activities, oversee complex software and hardware integration, and manage configuration management processes. You'll be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive test plans, solving and troubleshooting technical problems with expertise, and applying analytical thinking and critical reasoning. Your role will require strong technical writing and documentation skills, and an understanding of systems integration engineering standards and methodologies. The Mission Solutions and Technologies (MST) business area provides affordable, turn-key command/control, communications, integrated ISR, force protection and security solutions worldwide. The MST team has a long legacy of supporting the Department of Defense, Department of Homeland Security, commercial and international customers with years of experience in platform operations, engineering and full lifecycle management across domains - air, land, sea, space and cyber. Responsibilities: * Manage advanced systems integration tasks with high competence.
* Manage requirements analysis and ensure alignment with project goals.
* Oversee comprehensive verification and validation (V&V) activities for both hardware and software systems.
* Lead, supervise, manage, and perform complex software and hardware integration efforts.
* Ensure effective configuration management and maintain thorough documentation.
* Develop and execute comprehensive test plans and troubleshoot complex hardware and software technical issues. Qualifications You Must Have: * Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
* Relevant experience may substitute for education.
* 6+ years of experience in systems integration or related field.
* Higher level relevant degree may substitute for experience.
* Advanced proficiency with integration tools and methodologies.
* Thorough knowledge of engineering principles and practices.
* Experience working in multidisciplinary design & development teams.
* Experience working collaboratively with cross-functional and multidisciplinary teams including software developers, project managers, and technical leads to identify and resolve quality and technical issues in a fast-paced environment.
* Experience in software testing, including developing and executing test cases, performing regression and integration testing, documenting results, and collaborating with developers to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve software defects throughout the development lifecycle.
* Understanding and experience with the practical application of requirements development and management, system design, systems integration, hardware and software testing methodologies, technical risk identification, management strategies, and V&V principles.
* An ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret U.S. Security Clearance with SCI eligibility is required Qualifications We Prefer: * An active Secret U.S. Security Clearance is preferred prior to start
* Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry, Government, or US Military.
* Technical problem-solving skills and ability to develop innovative technical solutions and work effectively in a team environment.
* Ability to guide technical designs through development into a final deliverable product.
* Ability to work successfully in a highly collaborative, fast-paced environment emphasizing rapid prototyping and fielding of capabilities, with minimal supervision.
* Proven successful experience in project definition, simulation, implementation, lab integration and test.
* Ability to read schematics, use service manuals, follow test procedures, and use logical trouble shooting techniques.
* Demonstrated initiative in identifying gaps, defining objectives, and developing effective solutions to ensure successful system delivery.
* Experience with RF troubleshooting and RF test equipment (Network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, power meters).
* Experience with common bug tracking and requirements tracking tools.
* Experience with Linux administration, basic networking, servers, network storage devices, and computers.
* Experience with automation and scripting (e.g. python, shell scripts). Essential Functions: * Ability to lift up to 30 lbs occasionally
