Innovoltus bouwt met Jullix een Energy Management System (EMS) voor bedrijven en particulieren. Ons platform verbindt energie hardware — omvormers, batterijen, slimme meters, laadpalen en warmtepompen — met eindklanten en installateurs, en stuurt die slim aan om energiekosten te verlagen en eigen verbruik te maximaliseren. De Jullix-gateway is het hart van die installatie: het toestel dat lokaal meet, communiceert en stuurt.

We bouwen onze firmware- en hardware-expertise verder intern uit. Daarom zoeken we een embedded engineer die mee de toekomst van onze toestellen vormgeeft.

Als Medior/Senior Embedded Firmware Engineer ben je verantwoordelijk voor de firmware van onze Jullix-toestellen en aanverwante hardware: van ontwikkeling en OTA-updates tot debugging in het veld. Je werkt op het snijvlak van hardware en cloud, en zorgt dat onze toestellen betrouwbaar meten, communiceren en aangestuurd worden. Je krijgt veel autonomie en bouwt mee aan kennis die vandaag deels extern zit.

Heb je daarnaast affiniteit met hardware en productie (PCB, behuizing, testen aan de lijn)? Dan is dat een belangrijke troef: op termijn brug je firmware en hardware en help je onze productieketen aansturen.

Verantwoordelijkheden
  • Ontwikkelen, onderhouden en verbeteren van de firmware voor de Jullix-gateway en aanverwante toestellen (o.a. extenders).
  • Bouwen, flashen, debuggen en uitrollen van OTA-firmware-updates, inclusief versiebeheer en firmware-signing.
  • Implementeren en onderhouden van device-communicatie: MQTT (device-zijde), seriële protocollen en Modbus (RTU/TCP) voor integraties met omvormers en meters.
  • Integreren en testen van nieuwe device-merken (bv. Solis, SAJ, SolarEdge) en functionaliteiten zoals curtailment.
  • Veld-diagnose: crash dumps en logs analyseren, problemen reproduceren en oplossen.
  • Bewaken van betrouwbaarheid, geheugengebruik en stabiliteit van toestellen in productie.
  • Documenteren van firmware-architectuur, build-toolchain en procedures zodat kennis intern geborgd is.
  • Meewerken aan PCB-ontwerp en -review, behuizing en de overgang van prototype naar serieproductie.
  • Mee opzetten en bewaken van test- en kwaliteitsprocedures (o.a. programmeren/testen aan de productielijn).
  • Beheren van ontwerpbestanden (schema’s, PCB-lay-out, BOM) en productiedocumentatie.
  • Aanspreekpunt en brug richting hardwareleveranciers/onderaannemers.
  • Ondersteunen van de RMA-flow met technische inspectie en analyse van defecte toestellen.
  • Bachelor/master elektronica, embedded systems, ICT of gelijkwaardig door ervaring.
  • Aantoonbare ervaring met ESP32 / ESP-IDF (onze firmware en OTA draaien hierop); tooling zoals esptool/esp-coredump is bekend terrein.
  • Ervaring met OTA-updatemechanismes en firmware-versiebeheer.
  • Kennis van MQTT en/of Modbus en seriële communicatie.
  • Inzicht in low-level debugging (RTOS-concepten, geheugen, crash-analyse).
  • Zelfstandig kunnen werken en kennis goed documenteren.
  • Goede kennis Nederlands en Engels.
