Overview

TDS, a national communications and technology company, has a great opportunity for an IT Intern - Operations Support Specialist. Duration and Work Schedule

This internship is located at our TDS Corporate headquarters in Madison, WI. It is full-time (40 hrs/week) from June through August 2026; exact start and end dates are flexible. There may be an opportunity to stay on part-time during the 2026-2027 academic year depending on course schedule and business needs.

The hourly compensation for this internship is $19.00.

Responsibilities

As an IT Intern - Operations Support Specialist you will be mentored by subject matter experts on responsibilities such as installations, set-ups, moves and reclaims of information systems equipment. You may also participate in other team initiatives and projects as needed.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing an Associates or Bachelor's degree (or above) in information systems, computer science, networking or related field

  • Strong technical aptitude, initiative, creativity, and excellent customer service skills
  • Strong analytical problem-solving skills and critical thinking
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including strong verbal and written communication
  • Computer hardware experience, a plus (Assembly/Disassembly, Component Installation, Service/Repair, and Testing)
  • Solid work ethic and demonstrated ability to meet deadlines
  • Ability to work both independently and on team assignments
