Description
Position Summary
Indoor Environmental Services (IES) is expanding its commercial sales group and is seeking additional Maintenance Sales Representatives to support continued growth across Northern California. This role is responsible for identifying, developing, and securing new commercial HVAC services and maintenance business within assigned territories.
Junior level applicants are highly encouraged to apply! IES is open to investing in and developing new talent. Prior experience with outside sales fields such as solar sales, insurance, pest control, or uniform services would be advantageous, but not required.
The ideal candidate is a results-driven professional with a consultative sales approach, strong business insight, and the ability to build trusted relationships with commercial decision-makers. This role requires a self-starter with a strong sense of urgency, who can work independently from a remote location when needed, and sets ambitious goals for themselves.
Primary Responsibilities:
• Develop new business opportunities for commercial HVAC maintenance and service work
• Identify and engage key decision-makers within commercial and industrial facilities
• Conduct structured, consultative sales meetings to understand customer operational needs
• Present and recommend customized HVAC service and maintenance solutions
• Manage prospecting, pipeline development, and opportunity progression
• Maintain accurate activity and opportunity records within a CRM and use reporting tools
• Collaborate with internal operations and service teams to ensure successful customer onboarding
• Travel locally to customer and prospect sites as required
Schedule:
• Full-Time, Exempt
• Monday to Friday
Compensation package:
• $60,000 - $80,000+ per year
• Base W-2 salary supplemented by uncapped commission opportunities

Requirements
Required Qualifications:
• Demonstrated success in business development, outside sales, or new account acquisition
• Strong prospecting, cold-calling, and relationship development capabilities
• Professional communication skills with the ability to present to stakeholders and decision-makers
• High level of organization, accountability, adaptability and time management
• Ability to work independently while aligning with corporate objectives
• Proficiency with standard business technology, Microsoft products, and CRM platforms
• Strong interpersonal skills, along with the ability to prospect and manage the entire sales cycle
Preferred (Not Required) Qualifications:
• Experience selling commercial HVAC maintenance agreements or mechanical solutions
• Prior outside sales experience in a competitive B2B environment
• Familiarity with commercial real estate, property management, or facility operations
• Prior experience with outside sales fields such as solar, insurance, pest control, or uniform services
Physical Requirements:
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods while conducting in-person meetings, climb onto building rooftops, and survey mechanical equipment
• Capacity to lift and transport marketing materials or presentation equipment, which typically ranges from 15 to 50 lbs.
• Flexibility to frequently bend, stoop, reach, and twist.
• Stamina to manage extensive daily driving to visit various client sites within your territory
Additional Requirements:
• Valid driver's license (required as an essential function of the work being performed)
• In-person work with split office and field responsibilities. Local travel required up to 25%.

A reasonable estimate of the current base salary pay scale for this position is $60,000 to $80,000 per year supplemented by uncapped commission opportunities. This compensation range takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to skills sets, experience and training, licensures and certifications, education, and other business and organizational needs. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.
